Too Late Is Not An Issue

A story was told of a 15 years old boy who desired to commit his life to God by becoming a born again Christian. He decided that the right time for such commitment was after his secondary education because he thought academic activities would hamper his willingness to take active parts in church activities.

After the secondary school, he got admission into a university. The academic activities there took more of his time more than he ever thought it would so he had to postpone the time to be a born-again Christian a second time. He said he was too busy so he had to living his life as usual till he graduated from the university. He believed nothing would require as much of his time as academics require it then.

Before you know what was happening, he graduated and found himself in the labour market. Now it had to be when he had gotten a job. He sure got the job but it had to again be when he bought a car. Later, it had to be when he was married. So did that postponement continued for there was always a reason for it- the time was never perfect.

In the twinkle of an eye, the 15 years old boy had attained the age of 74. You would ask that what else would be his excuse at that age but don’t be surprised if I tell you that he had because he did and it was Oh, it’s too late for me to become a born-again Christian for I’m no longer agile to do all that will be required of me. Did I hear you say what a pity?

A lot of people, yourself probably inclusive, are living under this kind of situation but It Never Is Truly Too Late as long as you still desire to live that dream. The problem is many people wait too long for the right time, which will never come or better still is non-existent. If you must take action, the right time is now for waiting and wishing will not take you anywhere but action will take you everywhere.

The most successful people you ever knew or heard about “wowed” the world when the best soothsayer would have said it is over for them so get up now and do something for the world is waiting to benefit from that potential lying dormant within you. How backward do you think the world would still be if Bill Gates did not act on time despite been a school dropout? You can still change the world’s most critical story.

As long as you are living, you still can do something for I think the only living man is the active man. Loretta puts it right when she said “You’ve got to continue to grow or you’re just like last night’s cornbread, stale and dry. So go get something done, it can never be too late

See You on the Field at Harvest!
